Mark I. Wagner, Ph.D

A respected scientist with a career that has spanned high technology research for development of products from initiation through post-commercialization, Dr. Wagner has worked in the fields of microelectronics, MEMS, optical components, biomedical devices, and electronic/optical materials.  During his career he has worked with individuals in both industrial (Intel, Micron, Sony, Samsung, Molecular Imprints, Lam Research, IBM, International Sematech, Albany NanoTech, IMEC) and academic (University of Texas, Lawrence Berkeley Labs, Cornell, University of Arizona, University of Wisconsin, UNC-Chapel Hill) settings where leading edge work in nanotechnology was taking place

As an author of ten patents and nine peer-reviewed papers, Dr. Wagner is a recognized industry authority.  The patents relate to materials sciences with applications including microelectronic processes, polymer formation, and photoresist chemistry.

Dr. Wagner received a scholarship for the Research Experience for Undergraduates program at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, near his home town.  Thereafter, he obtained a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he was awarded his Ph.D. in Organic and Organometallic Chemistry.
